Marriage of Govt. Servants with foreign nationals prohibited

Under section 3 of the GOVERNMENT SERVANTS (MARRIAGE WITH FOREIGN NATIONALS) RULES, 1962 the marriage with the foreign national is prohibited. They shall apply to every person who is a member of an All Pakistan Service or who is serving in a civil capacity in connection with the affairs of the Central Government, but shall not apply to any person who is employed on contract.

(1) Subject to the provisions of sub-rule (2), a Government servant who marries or promises to marry a foreign national shall be guilty of misconduct and shall be liable to be removed from Government service.

(2) A Government servant may, with the permission of the Central Government, marry or promise to marry a person who is a citizen of India. ,

(3) The grant of permission under sub-rule (2) shall be at the discretion of the Central Government and may be subject to such conditions, if any, as it may prescribe.
